Ann Arbor High School students are plugging for a new high school in a variety of ways. (Their parents will vote on it Feb. 24). One way was to demonstrate crowded gymnasium conditions in skits at Slauson and Tappan Junior Highs. A mock basketball game is enacted above.

Just A Memory Now: While the new high school buzzed with activity, the old building at State and E. Huron Sts. stood bleak and silent. It will be taken over by the University, which plans to convert it into a classroom building after making alterations and constructing an addition. The building will be ready for use next fall.

Silent Halls: Gone from these halls of old Ann Arbor High School are the mobs of students. They look silent and bleak. Soon, students will be back -- perhaps a bit more conservative group. The building, to be called the Frieze Building, will house University classes.
