Coming up through the fog in the center background are Bob Graf (31) and Jim Cartwright, both members of the Rams. The contest ended in a deadlock, 6 to 6.

TOUCHDOWN MARCH: Preston Ware, of Slauson Junior High School, slips through a host of Jones Junior High tacklers for a first down during a drive that netted Slauson its first touchdown in a game at West Park this morning. Ware made three first downs in a row during the drive and then smashed his way from the five yard line for the touchdown in the first minute of the second period. Slauson won, 19-7.

TWISTS OVER THE GOAL LINE: Crossing the goal line for the first touchdown of a hard-fought football game between Slauson and Jones Junior High Schools this morning at West Park is Preston Ware, of Slauson. The elusive Ware plunged off tackle from Jones five-yard line for the marker. An attempt by Slauson to run the ball for the extra point failed. Slauson was the winning team.

The Irish are drilling for the upcoming season which starts with a game at St. John's. The Irish drill at Riverside Park.
