His writings and scientific works are familiar among gardeners and horticulturists. Members of the club are (left to right) Mrs. James Hayward, treasurer; Mrs. Eugene Leslie, president, and Mrs. Raleigh Schorling, horticultural chairman.

OTHER WINNERS: William Dorrance won a blue ribbon in the "men only" division with his entry (left) in the "member of the firm" class. The fruit arrangement at the right was made by Mrs. Larry Robertson and won a blue ribbon in the "30th Anniversary of the Ann Arbor Garden Club" class. Mrs. Robertson used a pineapple, fruits and tulips.
