Shrouded Cross: A black shroud covers the cross in the chancel of Trinity Lutheran Church in accordance with Christian custom. Symbolizing the crucifixion of Christ, the shroud covers the cross on Good Friday and remains there until commemoration of the resurrection on Easter Sunday. The altar is bare of adornment during the same period.
