(Ypsilanti Press): BUBBLE GUM BATTLE is in full force, and Gary Bickley, 10, of 1308 Pearl St., ios well on his way to being Biggest Bubble Blower Champ. Gary, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bickley, took part in the contest as a part of the special activities sponsored by the department each Friday afternoon. Another once-a-week program planned for the youngsters is day camp when the entire playground boards a bus and heads for the beach under the direction of playground leaders.

This is a typical scene in the dining hall at the University of Michigan's Fresh Air Camp on Patterson Lake near Pinckney. Purpose of the camp is to provide students with practical experience in counseling youngsters who have become maladjusted either through economic limitations or through some type of behavior aberration.
