The southeast corner of E. Huron St. and S. Fourth Ave. has been "dressed-up" with the near-completion of the remodeling of the old Huron Hotel. Michael J. Randolph, the new lessee, has made extensive exterior and interior changes in what is now the Embassy Hotel building. The old and new exteriors are shown here, along with one of the redecorated and newly furnished rooms.

New Front: This new aluminum and ceramic tile store front at The Quarry, Inc., of 318-20 S. State St., "ties" the firm's pharmacy and photographic and hospital supply units together. Display window space has been enlarged and an entry ramp eliminate and doorways moved to the sidewalk edge. Thomas S. Tanner of Ann Arbor was the architect. The remodeling work was completed by Kurt Lange, a local contractor.

Formal opening of the new White Market at 609 and 911 E. William St. will be held on Tuesday. The store, which was remodeled at a cost of $50,000 will be a partially self-serve enterprise. It has two departments that were not included in the old store at 607 E. William, a delicatessen and a bakery.
