Charles S. Mott, 95, Flint philanthropist, sits beside his new portrait which was hung in the lobby of the University's Mott Children's Hospital yesterday. The hospital, made possible by a gift from the Mott Foundation, was named after him. The portrait was painted by Frances C. Greenman, Minnesota artist.

The University's new 207-bed C. S. Mott Children's Hospital with a project budget of $8,011,915 is under construction on a site between Women's Hospital and the Outpatient Building at the U-M Medical Center. The facility is scheduled to open in 1968. The C. S. Mott Foundation of Flint started the project with a gift of $6,000,000 to which it has since added $500,000. The federal government has provided $661,915 for the research portion of the building.
