READY FOR KILN: Mrs. William A. Lewis, director of the Potters' Guild, is shown removing pieces from the stacking carts which have been glazed and are now ready for their second firing. After the pots or pieces of sculpture are bisque-fired, glazes are sprayed or painted on and they are ready for firing at a different temperature. The local guild boasts a kiln as large as most college art departments.
