READY FOR KILN: Mrs. William A. Lewis, director of the Potters' Guild, is shown removing pieces from the stacking carts which have been glazed and are now ready for their second firing. After the pots or pieces of sculpture are bisque-fired, glazes are sprayed or painted on and they are ready for firing at a different temperature. The local guild boasts a kiln as large as most college art departments.

FINISHED PRODUCTS: Mrs. Stuart Thayer, treasurer of the Potters' Guild, admires a finished piece of pottery from the display area in the guild's new headquarters located at 201 Hill St. The guild's annual spring sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the new location. Proceeds from sales in other years, along with donations, enabled the guild to move from the former site in the 600 block of E. William St. to its more spacious quarters which were remodeled by members.

Pottery Guild To Hold Annual Sale Maria Dickerson (left) and Elaine Wolf display some of the items that will be offered at the Potters Guild annual Christmas sale Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 201 Hill St. Mugs, bowls, jewelry, vases and other works of pottery will be available for browsing buyers. The guild is a nonprofit group which provides potting facilities for its 40 members and 24 students. It also supports an educational program of lectures, workshops and classes.
