Initiated Into Fox VFW Auxiliary: Mrs. Ruth Bacon Buchanan (center) is the first white woman to be initiated into the Kenneth Fox Auxiliary, Post No. 7433, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mrs. Clayton Fox (left) is president of the auxiliary and Mrs. Curtis Spratt (right) is senior vice-president. Initiation ceremonies were held last night at the Dunbar Center. Mrs. Buchanan was granted a special citation and medal by the auxiliary in January for her morale work during the war through correspondence with men and women in the armed forces.
