YMCA High School Party to combat juvenile delinquency, October 1943 Photographer: Eck Stanger
Year:

Published In:
Ann Arbor News, October 16, 1943
Caption:
ONLY PART OF THE FUN: Swimming was only part of the fun as 450 high school age boys and girls from all parts of the city met at the YMCA last night for their first recreational get-together. They planned and managed the party themselves and the dancing, swimming and games were all carried out with the same casual good taste that marks their habitual sweaters and skirts, their sport coats and slacks. It's Harlan Roos who is trying to pull Bess Tamura into the pool, as William Smith, physical director of the YMCA (standing in rear left) keeps his eyes on the group.
