Ann Arbor householders groused and moaned over flooded basements and disappearing lawns, but these children couldn't have been happier after yesterday's rain. Mike Schmidt (in white tee shirt) of 701 Miller, Maria Tselios, and her brother, Chris, of 506 Miller Ave., found a section of an old fence and launched it in West Park.

Eversole, in picture at right, checks over shingles ripped from his roof and dumped 50 yards south of his home, in background. Rain was heavy.
