Where Three Died: This view shows the outside of the recreation room in the home of Dr. Aaron R. Edwards where a fire started last night which took the lives of Dr. Edwards and his two daughters. Seven firemen were overcome by smoke.

Mike Schmidt (in white tee shirt) of 701 Miller, Maria Tselios, and her brother, Chris, of 506 Miller Ave., found a section of an old fence and launched it in West Park.

Brief but damaging winds which swept through the southwestern section of Washtenaw County yesterday split this tree in Manchester Township and caused property damage at the home of Lavern Eversole, 19201 Lemm in that township. Eversole, in picture at right, checks over shingles ripped from his roof and dumped 50 yards south of his home, in background. Rain was heavy.
