Patience- The Zion Lutheran Church Women will sponsor the High School Choir production of Gilbert and Sullivan's operetta "Patience" on Friday and Saturday at the church's Piper Hall, 1501 W. Liberty. Curtain time is 8 pm both nights. Frederick also won the 2220-yard and 440-yard races and Peterson the long jump and the hurdles as the River Rats drubbed the visitors, 87-49.

Allen, a mother of three, is a University of Michigan graduate (in design) , an artist and painter. There was a bit of irony in her winning the top-of-the-line GM car - her father is reportedly the man who got Henry Ford to start advertising those rival autos.

Grand Finale- Ann Arbor school board president Wendy Barhydt rings the pioneer Victory Bell in a rehearsal of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" which, complete with a cannon, chimes and bells, will be performed as the finale of Spring Music Night, 7:30 pm thus opening in Crisler Arena. Some 2,000 school district music students will perform in the event in all-city elementary, intermediate and high school level choruses and orchestra. An all-city Intermediate Jazz Band also will perform. Admission is free.
