BRISK RIDE: Returning from a cross-country jaunt are riders of the Everett Riding School on N. Maple Rd. The daily treks over Ann Arbor's hills and dales are only one phase of riding they learn during many hours on horseback. There's also the art of equitation, jumping and dressage, to name a few, and ardent riders don't mind practicing many hours a day to polish their talents.

Karen expects to make horsemanship her profession upon graduation. She has gained fame in the area in jumping, has captained the Everett jump team, the "Everetties," and won the Hawthorne Hills trophy in dressage the last two years.

Working on the mural are (from left) Mary Hubbard, Lynn Huguelet, Carol Greig, Sue Moody, Lynn Loughner and Debby Conard. The counselor in charge of the craft program is Georgia Price, a student in the University's College of Architecture and Design. Owners and operators of the stable are Mr. and Mrs. James R. Alder Jr.
