Metzger's Day -- Mar. Douglas (Sue) Kalis, wife of the manager of Metzger's German Restaurant, greets Walter S. Metzger at the Romanoff Hall door Sunday. The local restaurant proprieter says he thought he was going to a wedding anniversary celebration for friends, but it turned out to be a surprise party for Metzger to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the family business by his father, William, in 1928.
