The Paniagua Quartet is an instrumental ensemble specializing in the investigation and interpretation of Medieval and Renaissance music on copies of original instruments of the twelfth to the sixteenth centuries.
A great majority of the ancient instruments used by the Quartet in its vast repertory of early European and Spanish music have been personally reproduced and constructed by its members in the private workshop of Atrium Musicae in Madrid, after careful and detailed investigation of medieval manuscripts and codex volumes.
