WHAT IS UMS
The University Musical Society (a.k.a. UMS) is a performing arts presenter on the University of Michigan central campus, bringing professional dance troupes, orchestras, jazz musicians, theater companies, world music groups, and more to Ann Arbor. UMS is rated one of the top five arts presenters in the United States, ranking it among the likes of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C.

UMS offers four programs designed to fit your lifestyle and save you money. Since 1990, students have purchased over 150,000 tickets and have saved more than $2 million through these special student programs.
4 Easy Ways To Save
1 Half-Price Student Ticket Sales
Already know which shows you'd like to see Don't mind committing to dates in advance Then this is the option for you. For one day only at the beginning of each semester, UMS offers half-price tickets to college students. A limited number of tickets are available for each event in select seating areas, and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. This extremely popular event draws hundreds of students every year, so get there early. Students must have a valid college ID and may purchase up to two tickets per event for as many events as desired.

Rush Tickets
Like to wait 'till the last minute Sometimes it pays to procrastinate! Rush Tickets are sold to college students for $10 the day of the performance (or on the Friday before weekend events) and for 50 off the published ticket price 90 minutes before the event. Rush Tickets are only offered when a performance is not sold out, and seating is subject to availability and ticket office discretion. Tickets must be purchased in person at the Michigan League Ticket Office, located on the first floor of the Michigan League (911 N. University Ave.) or at the performance venue ticket office. Just bring your valid college ID. Limit two tickets per student.
Worried about finding yourself a bit cash-poor in the middle of the semester Want to guarantee that you'll be able to attend great events The UMS Student Card is a pre-paid punch card for Rush Tickets. The UMS Student Card is valid for any event for which Rush Tickets are available, and can be used up to TWO WEEKS prior to the performance. The UMS Student Card is available for $50 for 5 performances or $100 for 10 performances plus a bonus CD. A great gift for new students hint, hint, Mom and Dad! To order, simply fill out the order form to the right and mail or fax it to UMS, or visit the Welcome Studfs! section of the UMS website s.org to order online.

Looking to sample a variety of arts events on campus UMS, the U-M School of Music, and Arts at Michigan have teamed up to offer the Arts Adventure Series, a series of four events each semester offered at discounted prices.
