New Tavern Has Formal Opening

Weber Brothers In Jackson Ave. Location

Weber's Tavern, operated by Herman and Reinhold Weber, is having its formal opening today in its newly-constructed building on Jackson Rd., two and a half miles west of Ann Arbor.

The building is of cement block construction, painted white with green trimming. A green and black striped awning adds a decorative note to the front and neon tubing illuminates the red block lettering.

A celotex tile ceiling is used in the interior which has a red concrete floor, indirect lighting, steel casement windows, and a walnut bar. Interior walls are painted a pale green in contrast to the darker green of the doors.

The tavern hours are 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. The owners, who have been active in tavern businesses for a number of years, formerly operated the Weber Inn on Washtenaw Rd and the Oak Grove tavern on Jackson Rd.
