Thomas E. Mitchell
Thomas E. Mitchell, 69, of 3325 Platt Rd., Pittsfield township, died last night in the University hospital after a six-week illness.
Mr. Mitchell was born April 22, 1874, in Yorkshire, England, and had been a resident of Ann Arbor and vicinity since 1920, coming here from Detroit where he was previously engaged in insurance business.
Besides his wife, Mary Brewster Mitchell, he leaves three sons, Lt. William B. Mitchell, of the U. S. Navy, stationed at San Pedro, Calif., Thomas E. Mitchell, of Ann Arbor, and Pfc. Dwight B. Mitchell, whose station is Malden Army Air Field, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Otis Clipper, of Mason, Mich., and Mrs. Walter Horning, of Ann Arbor; five brothers, Arthur, Robert, Frank, George and Richard Mitchell, all of Detroit; a sister, Annie Mitchell, of Detroit, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in Muehlig funeral chapel by Rev. Charles W. Brashares. Burial will be in Washtenong Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel.
