UMPIRES BUY ALL-STAR GAME TICKETS: Even the umpires have to pay their way into the All-Star softball games to be played for the benefit of injured players at Wines Field Monday night. SEEK NATIONAL VOLLEYBALL TITLE: Ann Arbor Y.M.C.A.'s volleyball team, winner of four straight state championships, will be seeking the national title in a tournament to be held at Philadelphia tomorrow and Saturday. Houston, Texas, is defending the national crown which it has won seven times in the last eight years. The local spikers and dishers who swept through the state tournament again this season with ease are, from left to right above: Standing - Ray Smith, Fred Meyer, George Stalker, Ray Hillis, Norm Burnham and Roger Freund, Y.M.C.A. Secretary. Kneeling - Ken Schultz, Charlie Cope, Walter Horning and George Hotzel.

MEET STATE CHAMPIONS TONIGHT: Shown above is the Pfeiffer Beer team of Ann Arbor that will oppose the Lansing Vans under the lights at Wines Field tonight in a game starting at 8:30. The Lansing team won the state girls' softball title last season, but the Ann Arbor team has divided two games with the champions this season. Lansing won the first game, 16 to 10 with Ann Arbor taking the second contest, 8 to 4.
