WINIFRED MILOR DIES AT AGE 69 Long Illness Fatal To Music Teacher Miss Winnie (Winifred) Edna Milor, 69, teacher of piano in Ann Arbor for the past 27 years, died today in St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital after a long illness. Her home was a 1228 Prospect St. Miss Milor was born Oct. 17, 1879, in Petoskey, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Milor. She was graduated from Olivet College with a degree of piano and theory in 1903. She taught music in the Petoskey public schools for four years and in 1908 took a position as piano and history of music instructor at Ferris Institute, Big Rapids. In 1920 Miss Milor attended the University during the summer term and received an AB degree. In 1921 and 1922 she chaperoned the Alpha Xi Delta sorority and then established a piano studio in a private home. In 1925 she bought the home at 1228 Prospect St., where she conducted piano lessons prior to the time of her illness. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, the Zonta Club, of which she was a charter member, and the Story League. Miss Milors is survived by two nephews, John H. Milor of San Bernardino, Calif., and Reynell W. Milor of Macon, Ga. Funeral arrangements are not yet complete. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel.
