Wortley Palmerton
Wortley Marion Palmerton, 57, of 333 E. Ann St. died yesterday noon at a local hospital after an illness of several months.
He was born on May 15, 1894, in Milan, a son of Ashel and Helen Chapman Newcomb.
A resident of Ann Arbor for the past 22 years, he was formerly employed as a deliveryman for Band Box Cleaners here, and more recently as a government inspector at the King-Seeley Scio plant.
He was a member of the local Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include his stepfather, Winfield Palmerton of Whitmore Lake; a brother, Harry Newcomb of Detroit; and one sister, Mrs. William F. Braatz of Ann Arbor.
Funeral services will be at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Muehlig Chapel, with Rev. E. C. Stringer officiating. Burial will be in Washtenong Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel.
