Argus Seeks German Plant

Argus Cameras, Inc., may begin camera manufacture in Germany, Robert E. Lewis, company president, announced today.

Lewis, who was in Europe on a business trip recently, said that Argus is negotiating to license one of the German camera-making concerns to make Argus products for European distribution. Because it is difficult for Europeans to get American dollars for buying cameras, he said, Argus plans to sell in foreign markets in those nation’s own monetary systems.

No arrangements have yet been made with any German producer manufacturer.
