Perry Wins Commission
Lowell W. Perry, 22-year-old son of Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Perry of Ypsilanti, Saturday was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U. S. Air Force Reserve at the completion of his ROTC training at the University. Perry’s bride of one week, the former Maxine Lewis of Denver, Colo., a journalism student at Wayne University, proudly pinned on his new gold bars. Perry will serve two years on active Air Force duty, after which he plans to play professional football. He is a former Ypsilanti High School and University football star.
