Niels Christiansen
YPSILANTI - Niels C. H. Christiansen, 45, of 117 S. Huron St., manager of the Post No. 282 American Legion Home, Ypsilanti, died early today at Beyer Memorial Hospital after a month's illness.
Mr. Christiansen, a native of Denmark, was a veteran of World War II and a retired first lieutenant of the U. S. Army.
He was born Dec. 31, 1909, at Fredericia, Denmark, a son of Carl and Cecilie Christiensen Christiansen. He was married to Ellen M. Wigh on Oct. 15, 1947, at Boston. His wife survives.
Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Esther Sperling and Mrs. Hadde Noerby, both of Denmark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Moore Funeral Home, the Rev. Harley C. Sipe officiating. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia. Friends may call at the Moore Funeral Home.
