Carl A. Sweet, 67, of 504 W. Washington St. died Sunday morning at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a long illness.
He was born March 18, 1894, at Harrison, a son of Charles and Mary Allen Sweet.
Moving to Ann Arbor in 1920, Mr. Sweet was in the heating business for a number of years until he retired in 1960.
Her married Frieda A. Seitz on July 16, 1924, in Ann Arbor. She survives.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Erwin Prieskorn post of the American Legion. He also was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Brotherhood of the Church.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Dorothy) Howitt of Casselberry, Fla. and Mrs. David (Kathleen) Casey of Ann Arbor; a brother Floyd of Springfield, O.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Staffan Funeral Home, with the Rev. C. A. Brauer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Saline. Friends may call at the funeral home.
