Shelly Steele holds Pal, a stray collie who has been at the Humane Society of Huron Valley, 3100 Cherry Hill Rd., for two months. The male dog was named Pal by workers at the Humane Society because they say he is sweet, nice, quiet and loves children. But Pal is handicapped. He has lost sight in both eyes and must be kept on a leash when on a public street. The Humane Society is looking for a good but quiet home for Pal. Kathleen Flood, director, said Pal has grown depressed in the noisy kennel environment. She said because he is depressed he will have to be put to sleep unless someone adopts him.
