DON'T TREAD ON ME — What eats 5,700 bales of hay and drinks 150,000 gallons of water during a tour of the country? No, not the Detroit Tigers, but the Hoxie Bros. Circus elephants. The circus is coming to Ann Arbor Aug. 20. The circus, being sponsored by the Noon Optimist Club, will give performances at 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. in a tent to be erected at Meijer's Thrifty Acres. The circus lays claim to a 40-ton herd of elephants. Tickets can be purchased from Optimist members.
