WILLIAM EMHISER, PAUL F. SELISKAR, CHARLES J. ROBRECHT and JOHN TAYLOR have received new appointments with Gelman Sciences Inc. Emhiser, formerly vice president of the Laboratory Division, accepted the newly created position of president of the Medical Device Division. The post opened with the resignation of Mary Boomus who had held it briefly.  Gelman officials termed Boomus’ resignation a surprise. Emhiser’s selection follows his past three years as a company vice president and an earlier two years as director of corporate development. He joined Gelman in 1978 after holding sales and marketing management positions for a major laboratory supply company. Seliskar will serve as vice president and general manager of the Laboratory Division. He recently was a vice president in the company’s Industrial Division and previously was a marketing director for the laboratory market sector. He joined Gelmans’ in 1978. Robrecht moves from marketing director to vice president and general manager of the Industrial Division. He has been with Gelman Sciences since 1966. He held a variety of marketing positions prior to accepting his new post. Added to the Gelman executive team as vice president is John Taylor. He comes to this position as the chief operating officer of Gelman’s newly acquired subsidiary, Membrana, in California.
