Wednesday deadline looming in Gelman cleanup settlement
Wednesday is the self-imposed deadline for Gelman Sciences attorneys and the state attorney general to settle their differences in the year-old lawsuit over cleanup at Gelman’s Wagner Road plant. But the case has been rescheduled to appear in Washtenaw County Circuit Court at the request of Judge Patrick J. Conlin.
“We don’t have a settlement to announce,” Gelman attorney David H. Fink said this morning.
If the parties don’t settle on financial and technical aspects of the state-ordered cleanup, Fink would begin presenting the defense portion of the case on Nov. 14.
