Age 98, died Monday, December 3, 1990 at the Chelsea Methodist Home following a brief illness. She was born on December 2, 1892 in Richmond, IN, the daughter of Michael J. and Mary E. (Dwyre) Meagan. Mrs. Kemper had been an Ann Arbor resident since 1923. On October 24, 1918, she married Dr. John W. Kemper, and he preceded her in death on May 8, 1952. Mrs. Kemper was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and of the Altar Society at the church. She was a long time member of the Thrift Shop, Chapter X of P.E.O., Women's City Club, Book and Thimble Club, University of Michigan Faculty Women's Club, St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, Washtenaw County Medical Auxiliary, The Michigan League, Washtenaw County Dental Auxiliary, American Cancer Society, and Washtenaw County Convalescent Home Auxiliary. She is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Suzanne Sears of Oregon and Mrs. Jane Sable of Washington; and one nephew, Michael Rogers of California. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 1990 at St. Francis of Assisi Church with the Rev. Father Charles Irvin as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary. Arrangements by MUEHLIG CHAPEL.
