Jason Whitlock, a sports reporter and columnist for The Ann Arbor News the past two years, has left the paper to become a sports columnist for The Kansas City Star. While at The News, Whitlock covered the University of Michigan men's basketball team, and also helped in covering the football team. Whitlock is a graduate of Ball State University and has also worked at the Bloomington (Ind.) Herald-Times and the Charlotte (N.C.) Observer.
