Connbllsville, Pa., April 28.- Sheriff McCormick with a posse of ten deputies and accompanied by fifty men of company "C" went to Leisenring yesterday and evicted twenty-three families without any resistauce. John Leshko, the terror of the regiou and leader in all acts of Tiolence, rendered valuable assistance to the sheriff, while a hundred or more of Jhis wild-eyed, lawless companions looked on dumfouuded. James Dougherty, a deputy, caused sorae excitement by walking away frotn the sheriff's posse, handing the strikers a flask of whisky, remarking t hat he "had enough of the dirty work." Having completed the evictions at Leisenrin, tbe posse went to Davidson, the ot-bed of Socialism, and evicted ne family. By the time tuis work was completed, the other families on the sheriff's list had moved their efïects of tbeir own accord.
