Description
Have you ever received a scam phone call from someone claiming to be from a big-name company, like Microsoft offering to fix your computer?
There is a trend of scammers calling as Microsoft, to scare people about the computer security issue. Perhaps, you may get a pop-up on your computer telling you to immediately call a toll-free number because your computer has been infected with virus and malware. Don’t fall for this scam. They want you to download and install their software on your computer, so that they can remotely control your computer. Then, they want you to pay for the extra service and tech support that you might not need. There have been cases when scammers have threatened people and locked them out of their own computer when they refused to pay.
Mateen Jaffer from Jafferson Computers will show you how to identify these scam calls and pop-ups, what to do if you have been a target by these scammers, and how to keep your computer safe and secure.
