Due to circumstances beyond our control, this event has been canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience.
This event will feature a panel of distinguished politicians and journalists including: Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, U.S Representative for Michigan’s 12th congressional district (D); Seema Mehta, political writer for the LA Times and current Knight-Wallace fellow; Alex Kellogg, professional journalist whose works have been published by NPR, The Wall Street Journal, and more; and Daniel Rivkin, former Reuters correspondent and current communications strategist.
Panelists will discuss the intersection of, and tensions between, journalism and politics. The discussion will be followed by a question and answer session, in which the audience will have a chance to interact with the panelists.
The Society of Professional Journalists is the oldest organization representing journalists in the United States. Its Ann Arbor chapter was founded by a number of students across the University of Michigan’s campus in August 2018 for the purpose of bridging the different silos of student and professional journalism in the area, providing skill-building, networking and training for student journalists, and increasing discourse in our community surrounding journalism.
This event is a partnership with the Society of Professional Journalists, Ann Arbor.
