MOVING DAY FOR HOUSE: This house, reported to be about 80 years old, took a ride yesterday from its long-time location at 331 S. Ashley St. to a new site at 808 Henry St. Owned by the Coca Cola Bottling Co., which has its plant directly behind the structure's former location, the house was moved to provide room for a plant addition. Harold F. Kleis, secretary-manager of the firm, said the addition will be used for a cooler and salesroom. It will be about 50 by 60 feet in size and constructed of cinder block. The transferred house, which has been vacant for several months, will be placed on sale by the company, Kleis said.

House on a Highway: Busy Washtenaw Rd. had some unusually heavy traffic yesterday when this house was transported from Ann Arbor to its new site in the 4000 block of Washtenaw Rd. It stood originally on S. Forest Ave. near the Forest Ave. parking lot. On Friday the house was moved to a point near the Washtenaw Ave.-Stadium Blvd. intersection and "parked" off the highway over the weekend. Yesterday the slow journey was completed. It is shown here moving up the grade in front of the entrance to Pittsfield Village.

Guild House Moved: The old Congregational and Disciples guild, shown here being moved at E. Liberty St. and State St. yesterday, was on its way from the old site on Maynard St. to Pontiac Tr., its new location. The resident minister and his wife, the Rev. and Mrs. H. L. Pickerill, are the new owners of the house in which they have lived for many years. Formerly, it was owned by the national board of the Disciples of Christ Church. The Pickerills have moved, along with the students, to a recently purchased guild house on Thompson St. and plan to rent the Pontiac Tr. dwelling.
