Working On May Book Fair, May 1968
Year:
1968
Published In:
Ann Arbor News, May 10, 1968
Caption:
Working On May Book Fair -- Along with about nine other devoted workers - including men - these Friends of the Ann Arbor Public Library have been busy since January spending their Saturday afternoons, and some weekdays as well, in the library's basement workshop. The reason for their busyness? Preparing for the 15th annual outdoor Book Fair, which will take place between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, on the library porch. As in years past, Miss E. Elizabeth Slack (right) has been steering the fair on a profitable course, and treasures the contributions of her faithful colleagues, including Mrs. Crucy T. Bell (left) and Mrs. Sidney M. Quigley. This is Miss Slack's 15th year as Book Fair head.
