Just because these twin sisters celebrated their 80th birthday this week, they haven't stopped going to the beauty parlor. Genevieve C. Eaglen (left) of 314 S. Fifth Ave., a beauty operator at a local shop, puts the finishing touches on Mrs. Elizabeth North's permanent. Her sister, Mrs. Ella Walsh (right) of Dexter, is all set with a shampoo and wave. Mrs. North is of Fowlerville.

Kathy Loses Her 38-Inch Braids Kathy Titus, 13-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Titus of 1532 Newport, yesterday had her first appointment in seven years with a hair-cutting establishment. It was a very special occasion -- because she lost the long tresses (left) she grew since age six. Her blonde hair, which her mother (photo No. 2) lovingly braided for the last time at a local beauty shop, measured 38 inches. Kathy, an eighth grader at Forsythe Junior High School. was somber when Mrs. Elaine Acker (photo No. 3) clipped the braids off, but she broke out into a happy smile (right) when she decided she liked what she saw in the mirror after it was over. (Editor's note: We do, too!)
