Ann Arbor is going to the dogs. At least this week. Pictured above Mayor Robert C. Campbell is presenting Fred McCann, president of the Detroit Beagle club, with the key to the city. The picture was taken on Geddes Heights where field Beagle trials are being held all this week. Front row, left to right, are James Smith, Saginaw; Mayor Campbell, McCann, Dan Steele and his son and George Eberle, chairman of the field trials. Between Campbell and McCann are Charles Berry of Saginaw and W. Hardy of Lansing. In the extreme background are the two judges, Beryl Bishop of Lansing and E. L. Gray of Indianapolis.

OLD STYLE REAPER PREFERRED: Oscar Weber, whose farm is on M-11 just east of Bridgewater, still likes the self-raking reaper that was "the latest thing" about 75 years ago. John Monahan is shown operating the old-style reaper, a Champion model, in field of cloverseed on the Weber farm. This machine is about 67 years old.

PRESENTING RACHEL AND HER FAMILY: Rachel, beautiful matron of a growing herd of Belgian horses on the Blaisdell farm in Bridgewater township, is shown above with part of her family and their caretakers. The horses, reading left to right, are: Rachel, Ritchie, King and Ruby. The three men, reading left to right, are Lewis Blaisdell, the owner, Arthur Lowrey, cousin of the owner, and Elmer, father of Lewis. Since graduation from Clinton High school in 1931 Lewis has raised a herd of nearly a dozen pedigreed Belgians from the pair which was his graduating gift.
