Wins Sponsor of Year Trophy: Dan Bandrofchak, right, is shown holding a trophy emblematic of Ann Arbor's bowling "Sponsor of the Year." His name was the lucky one drawn from the bowl at the third annual Captain-Sponsor bowling tournament Saturday night at the American Legion Memorial Home. At the left is his captain, Ralph Perkins, holding the big Ann Arbor News trophy on which Bandrofchak's name will be inscribed as well as a small one which goes to Perkins for being the winning captain.

From left to right, the prize winners are James Murray of Brighton and Shirley Kaiser of Pinckney, both from Livingston county and Charles A. Smith of Gregory and Barbara C. Chapman of Ypsilanti representing Washtenaw. Mrs. Carl Johnson (right) of the March of Dimes committee is making the presentations. The four winners qualified for the National March of Dimes tourney.

In the picture, left to right, are Vic Shewman, George Kielwasser, Bill Johnson, Derwood Warren and Chris Anguras. Another team composed of Ewald Steinke, Ben Page, Lefty Hutchinson, Jack Nielsen, and Charles Shelly will also represent the Michigan Recreation at New York. The local teams are slated to bowl April 12 and 13.
