GOES THROUGH SALINE BY DOG SLED: Cecil A. Moore, a 42-year-old fur trader, is shown above in Saline on his way from Fairbanks, Alaska, to his home in Lewiston, Me.--via dog sled and team. Moore arrived along US-112 yesterday and remained in Saline overnight. He was scheduled to mount his sled and head for Detroit and points east sometime this afternoon. (Story on page 21)

BACK ON DRY LAND: The jeep works equally well on land or in the water, as these Army men discovered during yesterday afternoon's maneuvers. An Army specialist was present to instruct the students in handling the jeep, and also instructed several members of the Red Cross motor corps in handling the amphibian in the water.
