Abandoned Baby Footprinted: Ann Arbor Police Lt. Eugene L. Staudenmaier (left) and Detective Sgt. Gregory S. Katapodis take a footprint of a four-month-old baby boy found abandoned last October in the Westgate Shopping Center parking lot. Mrs. Patricia Myers of Howell, who has been caring for the infant under a court order, holds the child. All efforts to find the parents of the baby have been futile and police took the footprints yesterday in hopes they can be matched with those on file at area hospitals.

Check-Out Time: Dorothy Doss, left, school nurse at Pioneer High School, is taking the suggestion of Lana Cain, right, head librarian at the West Branch unit of the Ann Arbor Public Library, by checking out a number of books. The branch library at 355 N. Maple is scheduled to begin moving March 12 to new quarters in the courtyard of the Westgate Shopping Center off West Stadium Boulevard and Jackson Road. Librarian Cain says if patrons will take out books now and keep them until the new library unit opens April 4, the task of moving will be made easier for her staff.
