Reuben (Rue) Rose of 1472 South Blvd. came across this 47-year-old Valentine the other day and made plans to show it to the person who gave it to him, Mrs. Lucille Cahow of 4260 Washtenaw Rd. The News got them together in front of a camera (below). Mrs. Cahow, then Lucille Wilkinson, gave Rose the card in 1914 in the former Eberbach School, now the headquarters of the public schools' administrative offices.

Valentine's Day Bribery? Ann Arbor Police Department Community Relations Sgt. Kenneth B. Klinge (left) holds a parking ticket as a symbol of what the plea on the cake in the foreground is all about. But Traffic Lt. Howard R. Zeck, whose sister, Mrs. Reatha Parker, baked the cake, is unconvinced that love should take precedence over the law. He declined to declare a Valentine's Day amnesty. There was some thought of citing Mrs. Parker for attempted bribery but the evidence was eaten.
