BEAUTIFUL BRIDGE: Now providing a lovely entrance-way into Ann Arbor from the north, the new Huron Valley Bride is in full use carrying traffic over the Huron River and the New York Central Railroad tracks. In this aerial view, looking almost due east, the new four-lane span dwarfs the old, narrow Whitemore Lake Rd. Bridge. Faintly visible at top center is the Northside School. Nancy Park Neighbors: This barn and silo owned by John P. Montonye of 1175 Grove Rd., contrasts sharply with the Nancy Park subdivision homes that surround it on the north, west and east, one mile southeast of Ypsilanti. Montonye, president of Ypsilanti's Indoor Comfort Co., uses the barn for storage purposes in connection with his business, but the silo is unused. He purchases the 2 1/2-acre plot from the estate of the late Charles Newton, who formerly owned the entire Nancy Park area.

Scouts in Action: Outdoor life was the order of the weekend for some 800 Scouts, leaders and parents of the Portage Trails Council. This aerial shows some of the campers at the council's Bruin Lake camp. The occasion was the spring camporee. It includes tree-planting, hiking and Sunday religious services. The camporee was highlights Saturday night with a huge all-camp bonfire. The program is a practice session prior to the regular summer program to start next month.
