160-PLUS YEARS OF SERVICE: These five Ypsilanti police and firemen have all been employed in their respective departments for 30 years or more. Their combined service to Ypsilanti totals more than 160 years. Left to right the veteran officers and the dates they began work for the city are Assistant Fire Chief John C. Hadley, Nov. 1, 1926; Police Chief Emil A. Susterka, Aug. 16, 1926; Fire Capt. Russell M. Forsyth, May 18, 1926; Police Sgt. Arthur W. Kramer, July 1, 1929; and Fire Chief Gerald H. Kelly, March 18, 1928.
