An international snow woman with flags of more than 50 countries pinned to her skirt gets a final pat from Jose Barbera (left) of Madrid, Spain, who never before had seen snow before coming to Ann Arbor as an exchange student. Two other high school students who never had seen snow before leaving their native countries are Ignacia Almeida (center) of Quito, Ecuador, and Christiane Thielcke of West Berlin. They built the international snow person in front of the International Cultural Exchange, 290 S. Wagner Rd., Scio Township.

Arriving yesterday, the high school students will stay with local families during their 10-day visit, which is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club. This is the fifth summer that students from Kagoshima have visited Ann Arbor.
