Volunteers from the Bethel Toy Club, the Ann Arbor Police and the County Sheriff's Department, and Girl Scouts from the Huron Valley Council gathered at the home of Mrs. Nancy Anthony to wrap Christmas presents purchased with proceeds from the annual charity "Pig Bowl." Santa In The Rain: Mr. Claus was unable to get his reindeer and sleigh into the yard of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene H. Hannah of 2110 Shadford Rd., so he came on foot and protected himself from the unseasonable rain with an umbrella. At night he turns jitterbug and dances to popular tunes.

SANTA ARRIVES SAFELY: Santa Claus was flown safe and sound into Ann Arbor this morning by the Junior Chamber of Commerce for his annual pre-Christmas appearance. Here, on the stage of the Michigan Theater, he talks to Michael Glas, as his dad, Wagar A. Glas of 1501 Ardmoor Dr., looks on. Michael's sister, Sally, has just spoken to Santa. Visiting youngsters received gifts and heard carols. After leaving the theater, Santa was to head for the children's ward at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital.
