GETTING READY - Gail Dapogny, below, a member of the Potters Guild since 1973, stacks another bowl as she and Jeanette Powell, shown above, stack the guild's kiln. Guild members stacked about 1,000 pieces inside the kiln for firing, which takes five days to complete. The kiln is heated to 2,300 degrees with an 18-hour firing and 36-hour cool down. The guild is preparing for its Winter Pottery Sale coming up Saturday and Sunday as part of Art Days.
