Surprise For Scout Leader - Ann Arbor Girl Scouts gathered at Hilltop Lodge yesterday afternoon for a surprise dedication of a flag and pole to their executive director, Mrs. Kay Beckman Gunn (in foreground, wearing white mittens). Mrs. Gunn will resign her postion at the end of January. A successor has not yet been named. Following the dedication, an open house was held and a photo album of Girl Scout work presented to Mrs. Gunn. Senior Scouts planned the program.

New Girl Scout Shelter - A new cinderblock shelter is under construction at the Girl Scouts' Hilltop Camp on Huron River Dr. by Will F. C. Nimke & Son, contractor. It will provide a second meeting place for Girl Scout groups and is expected to be ready for day camp opening by June 21.
