Hardy Scouts - Member of Girl Scout Troop 28 picked a rough weekend to test their outdoor skills and earn the 'Freeze-Out' patch awarded by the Huron Valley Girl Scout Council for spending 24 hours outside in below freezing temperatures. As temperatures plunged toward the zero mark Saturday Gina Wesley, above left, steadied a tent stake while tent mate Charlotte Dwyer pounded it into the ground. Each of the three two-week camping periods will accommodate a total of 55 girls - most of them will doubtless spend their non-swimming time in the comfort of sport and sweat shirts and the ever-present "blue jeans" shown here.
