Col. William A. Henderson of Ann Arbor has been appointed commander of the Michigan Air National Guard in Lansing. He directs the headquarters staff and assists and directs administration of Air Guard unit at Selfridge Air National Guard Base near Mt. Clemens, Battle Creek Air National Guard Base and Phelps Collins Combat Readiness Training Center near Alpena. Henderson graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1960 and earned a BS degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1964, majoring in sociology and history.
